Az állomástól egy kilométeren belül elérhető a Nagy-hárs-hegyi és a Kis-Hárs-hegyi kilátó is, ha a sárga jelzésen nekivágunk az emelkedőnek. Ugyanezen a jelzésen lefelé indulva pedig 15 perc alatt Hűvösvölgybe érhetünk - a közeli Nagykovácsi útig akár meg is előzhetjük a lejtmenetben haladó vonatot, ami hosszabb pályán, egy alagúton átbújva jut el az utat keresztező hídig.

A vasútállomás területe egész évben szabadon látogatható, a vonatok egész évben közlekednek. A vasút menetrendjét itt érheted el. Akár különvonatot is rendelhetsz.

Public transport
- Tömegközlekedéssel Hűvösvölgyből érdemes megközelíteni az állomást. Ide a BKK 56, 56A, 59B, 61-es villamosával vagy 29, 57, 63, 64, 64A, 157, 157A, 164, 257, 264-es buszával utazhatunk.
- A sárga jelzést keressük a hűvösvölgyi végállomáson, ami a villamossínek alatt átbújik egy aluljárón, majd délnyugati irányba egy kilométernyi sétával a kisvasút állomásához vezet. Az emelkedő tetején, még a vasút alatti betonhíd előtt kb. 20 méterrel forduljatok jobbra a széles útra, amin egy percen belül eléritek az állomást.

- Autóval a Széll Kálmán tér - Szilágyi Erzsébet fasor - Hűvösvölgyi út vonalán érkezhetünk a főváros felől. Solymár irányából Pesthidegkúton keresztül a Hidegkúti úton jutunk a Hűvösvölgyi útra.
Parking
- Két nagy parkolót is találunk Hűvösvölgyben. Az egyik a villamos végállomásával szemben, az út másik oldalán van. Innen a sárga jelzésen Ny, majd D felé indulva 1 kilométeres sétával érjük el az állomást. Ha a Nagykovácsi úton a StopShop parkolójában állunk meg, az ÉNY-i sarkában találjuk meg a sárga jelzést. Átkelve az úton a sorompónál 400 méternyit kell sétálnunk a kisvasútig.
