Könnyen elérhető, de kevésbé ismert balatonfüredi kilátópont a Tamás-hegy aljában álló gigantikus kereszt. Egy kis kaptató, néhány méteres lépcső, és már élvezhetjük is a fantasztikus panorámát a Balaton, Balatonfüred és a Tihanyi-félsziget felé.
Balatonfüred kevésbé ismert kilátópontja a Tamás-hegyi kereszt, pedig hasonlóan lenyűgöző kilátásban lehet részünk innen, mint a hegy tetején álló Jókai-kilátóból.
A könnyen megközelíthető, hatalmas kereszthez felérve feltárul előttünk szinte egész Balatonfüred, rálátunk felülről a Balatonba benyúló Tihanyi-félszigetre és a tó túlpartja is szépen kirajzolódik. Hosszasan el lehet szemlélődni a kereszt tövében vagy a padon, szinte egyesével beazonosítva Füred és a környék látnivalót: a piros templomot, a szállodasort és a tihanyi apátságot is könnyedén be tudjuk azonosítani.
Innen indul (vagy itt végződik) az Aranyember útja tanösvény, ami a Balaton-felvidéki Kéktúra K jelzésén vezet fel a kilátóig. Este a kivilágított kereszt jól látható Füred szinte minden pontjáról.

- A buszmegállóból a Tamási Áron utcán induljunk el felfelé. A Kilátó utcáig megyünk, ahol jobbra a K jelzést követve jutunk el a kilátópontig (700 m).
- A Kilátó utcai parkolóból a K jelzés és az Aranyember útja tanösvény táblája jelzi a lépcsősort a kereszt felé.

- A Kilátó utcában, szinte a kereszt alatt találunk néhány autónak elég parkolót.
