Szemben a Havas, a Káva és a Tót-hegyes bércvonulata magasodik (észak felé haladva, ebben a sorrendben). A tisztáson kicsit lejjebb gyalogolva észak felé kiszúrhatjuk a Galya-tető tömbjét, melyet épületeiről ismerhetünk fel.
Pontosan a csúcson állva vehetjük csak észre, hogy nyugat felé is kiláthatunk a fák lombja fölött – ebben az irányban a hegyoldal igen meredek. Megpillanthatjuk Pásztó házsorait, illetve több települést a Zagyva völgyéből, mögöttük pedig ott húzódik a Tepke-gerinc erdős háta.
Nyugati irányban néhány méter után újabb tisztásra jutunk. Erről a Mátra legdélebbi magaslatai láthatók Szurdokpüspökitől délre: az Isten-fa-tető és a Nagy-hársas (Jobbágyi fölött).

Public transport
- Szurdokpüspöki vasútállomására Hatvan és Salgótarján felől érkeznek közvetlen vonatok.
- A Szurdokpüspöki, Szabadság tér buszmegállóból kicsit rövidebb a túra, mint a vasútállomásról.
- Közelíthetünk Mátrakeresztesről is: ehhez a Pásztó, Ágasvári menedékház buszmegállóig kell utaznunk.
- Pásztó vasútállomására Hatvan és Salgótarján felől érkeznek közvetlen vonatok.
- A Pásztó, bejárati út buszmegállóba is érkezhetünk, más buszokkal pedig Pásztó, Csillag térig érdemes utaznunk.
- A Rózsaszentmárton, ÁFÉSZ megállóból is indíthatjuk a túrát.

Directions
- Szurdokpüspökiből a P sáv jelzés vezet a Koncsúrra (Táv: 5,7 km, 488 m szintemelkedés).
- Mátrakeresztesről a P, majd P+, később ismét a P jelzések vezetnek fel a csúcsra a legrövidebb útvonalon (Táv: 8,1 km, 473 m szintemelkedés)
- Pásztóról a P▲ jelzést kell követnünk, ez egyenesen a csúcsig kalauzol (Táv: 10,3 km, 670 m szintemelkedés).
- Rózsaszentmártonból a P jelzés vezet a csúcsig (Táv: 14,9 km, 824 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Szurdokpüspökiben a Szabadség téren találunk parkolót.
- Mátrakeresztesen a központban, az étterem mellett van ingyenes parkoló.
- Pásztón a Fő út melletti szupermarket parkolójában hagyhatjuk autónkat, vagy a vasútállomás előtt.
- Rózsaszentmártonban, a település központjában álló templom mellett barla kanyarodva találjuk a temetőt, ami mellett parkolhatunk.
