Különleges hangulatú szent hely áll Szurdokpüspöki hegylábi oldalán. A Hollós-dombon fakadó víznél a legenda szerint Szűz Mária is járt, ma kiépített kutat és pihenőhelyet találunk itt.
Szurdokpüspöki keleti határában, a Hollós-dombon találjuk a Szent Kereszt-, más néven Istenanya-kutat és jól kiépített pihenőhelyét. Maga a forrás egy fából készült óriási turulkupola alatt van, így esővédett, csakúgy, mint a közeli esőbeálló. Az ősmagyar totemállat mellett jól megfér egy Szűz Mária-emlékmű is. A szelénben gazdag víz nemcsak a környező falvakban népszerű: az egész országból, sőt olykor még külföldről is elzarándokolnak érte Szurdokpüspökibe.

Vallás-béke 

A kúthoz több néphiedelem kapcsolódik: a katolikus variáció szerint maga Szűz Mária is ivott a kút vizéből, ami így nyerte el csodatevő képességét. Természeti vallások hívei szerint az itt áthaladó pozitív energiavonalak (ún. Szent György-vonalak) adják a kútvíz gyógyító erejét. Ez utóbbi hangsúlyosabban jelenik meg a környék épített elemeiben, amelyet a „táltos hagyaték őrzői” alakítottak ki és tartanak karban.

A környék

A hegytető felé vezető ösvényen tudunk felkapaszkodni a Z+ jelzésű turistaúthoz, amely az Isten-fa-tető csúcsára vezet. Útközben elhaladunk a régen lakott Remete-barlang mellett, a turistaútra érve pedig egy másik, kisebb üreg nyílását is megfigyelhetjük. A jelzetlen csapás egy sziklás részen is átkel, ahonnan remek panorámát kapunk a Zagyva völgye, így Szurdokpüspöki felé is.

  • A vasútállomásról Z jelzésű turistaúton induljunk el, majd egyenesen haladjunk tovább az Ifjuság utcán a helyszínig (1,2 km, 20 m szintemelkedés).
