In the centre of Illmitz you can find the popular healing water of the St. Bartholomew spring. It tastes slightly salty, minerally and is said to be good for the urinary tract, stomach, intestines and general health. Some locals even swear that beans in the boiling water of the St. Bartholomew spring are the best.
