Fonyód központi szabadstrandja remek hely a kisgyermekes családoknak a lassan mélyülő víz és a szépen kialakított játszótér miatt. A part homokos, és rengeteg sportolási lehetőség van kicsiknek és nagyoknak is.
A strand rendelkezik büfével, értékmegőrzővel, kölcsönzővel, óriáscsúszdával, játszótérrel, valamint van itt 4 sportpálya is: strandröplabda-, tollaslabda-, kosárlabda-és strandfocipálya. A vízben fejelőkapu és kosárlabdapalánk van felállítva a nagyobbaknak. A strand helyszínt adott több versenynek is: itt rendezték meg a triatlon Balaton nagydíjat, az országos strandfoci bajnokság első fordulóját és az országos frizbi bajnokságot is.
A parton mintegy 200 kocsinak biztosítanak ingyenes parkolási lehetőséget. A strand többször elnyerte a “Kék Hullám Zászló” négycsillagos fokozatát. Nem utolsó szempont az sem, hogy a partról gyönyörűen látszódnak a szemközti, Balaton-felvidéki tanúhegyek.

- Családi jegy: 3500 Ft (2 felnőtt+2 gyerektől
- 6 éves kor alatt a belépés ingyenes.

Public transport
- Ha vonattal érkzünk, a Fonyód állomáson szálljunk le.
- Minden, Fonyódot érintő busz megáll a Fonyód, vasútállomás megállónál.

Directions
- A vonatról leszállva átjutunk a sínek Balaton felőli oldalára, és máris a strand előtt találjuk magunkat.
- A buszmegálló szintén a vasútállomás előtt található. Átmegyünk az aluljárón, szemben találjuk a strand bejáratát.
Parking
- Az állomás és a strand között nagy, fizetős parkolót találunk.
