Fonyód centrumától egy kilométernyire találjuk ezt a nyüzsgéstől mentes, eldugott szabadstrandot.
Az új építésű nyaralók között megbújó fonyódligeti strandot elkerülik a tömegek. Az óriási füves területtel szegélyezett partszakasz mellé nyaralók épültek, és ennek köszönhetően a strand 2023-ban sok fejlesztésen esett át. A kopár területeken frissen ültetett fű nő, az árnyékban szegény területre jó pár facsemetét ültettek, így néhány évig még a napimádók kedvelt helyszíne lehet. A vízparti sétányt térkövek borítják, ami mentén megtaláljuk az öltözőt, a mosdókat és a baba-mama szobát. Mellettük aprócska büfé kínál hűsítő italokat és némi harapnivalót. A területen két pad-asztal garnitúrát és egy retro játszóteret találunk libikókával, csúszdával és két hintával. A strand bejáratánál kerékpártároló és egy bringás szervizoszlop segíti a két keréken érkezőket.
A partról két lépcső vezet a lassan mélyülő, sekély vízbe. A strand egész területéről szemügyre vehetjük a Balaton szemközti oldalán tornyosuló tanúhegyeket, amik közül a legszembetűnőbb a lapos tetejű Badacsony, és tőle jobbra a hegyes púpú Tóti-hegy.

A terület egész évben szabadon látogatható. A mosdók és családi öltözők strandszezonban üzemelnek.

Public transport
- A Balaton déli partján közlekedő távolsági buszról a Fonyód (Fonyódliget), alsó megállóban érdemes leszállni.
- Vonattal Fonyód vasútállomásig utazzunk.

Directions
- A buszmegállóból nyugiati irányba indulunk az Ady Endre úton, majd az első lehetőségnél balra térünk a Debreceni utcára, ami átvisz a vasúti síneken. A Fürdő utcán balra térünk, majd néhány méter múlva (a sötétszürke épületek után) a járdán jobbra jutunk a strandhoz (összesen 200 m, szintemelkedés nélkül).
- A vasútállomásról a Balaton felőli Fürdő utcán indulunk keleti irányba, ami 1,2 km után a balra található szabadstrandhoz vezet.
Parking
- A strand előtti Fürdő utcán a KRESZ szabályainak megfelelően parkolhatunk. Érdemes a strandtól nyugatra, a vasúti sínek melletti hangfogó mentén letenni az autót, ott szélesebb a füves rész, több a hely.
