Kányavár megállóhely az Alsó-Válicka folyásához közel, egy rét mellett található. A peron mellett egy esőbeálló alá lehet behúzódni kedvezőtlen időjárás esetén.
Kányavár feltételes megállóhely, azaz a vonatok csak akkor állnak itt meg, ha van le- vagy felszálló utas.
