Bázakerettye. The former stronghold of the Hungarian oil industry, a well-paying workplace, perhaps the ultimate dream in the mid-20th century, is now known to few. What attracted my fellow tourists to this melodious little Zalai village, which is difficult to reach by public transport, requiring transfers and even more difficult on weekends? The cheerful company from Veszprém chose Bázakerettye as one of the possible routes for the North-Transdanubian Cup, while the youngsters from Kőszeg simply fell in love with the beautifully situated village and have since returned, constantly emphasizing the hospitality of the locals. For the young runner lady, the twenty km distance is a great training opportunity. The girls from Székesfehérvár were recommended by a local acquaintance.
