The White Cross stands at the entrance of Mogersdorf. It is one of several monuments that commemorate the "Battle against the Turks" in 1664.
Words of remembrance are inscribed in German, Latin, Hungarian, and French.
At the site where many of the fallen from the Battle of Mogersdorf/Szentgotthárd are said to be buried stands the White Cross, erected in 1840.
Only in 1984 was the Peace Stone constructed as a monument to remember the Ottoman fallen.
