IRON CURTAIN TRAIL EV 13 - Burgenland Package
For almost half a century, the Iron Curtain divided Europe from the Barents Sea to the Black Sea into East and West. The aim of EuroVelo 13 – the Iron Curtain Trail cycle route – is to make this division of the continent literally "experienceable" by bike. Discover the most beautiful sides of Burgenland and those of our Hungarian neighbors. Let yourself be enchanted by the very different landscapes of Burgenland. Excellent wine, untouched, fascinating nature, and friendly hosts can be found here and there.
The route of this section of the EuroVelo cycle path starts in Burgenland at the border with Slovakia and runs along the Austrian-Hungarian border to the border with Slovenia. Be sure to visit the historically interesting sites, which line up like a string of pearls! Except for short sections, the cycling route is continuously paved.
