A Kvassay-sétány végén elhelyezkedő Nyugati strand nagy részén hatalmas fák árnyékában pihenhetünk, a bejárat közelében több büfé várja az éhes szájakat, egy külön épületben mosdókat találunk.
Az 1990-es évek közepéig fizetős fürdőterület egy darabig szabadstrandként működött, 2018 és 2022 között újra fizetős strand lett, ám 2023-tól ismét szabadstrandként várja a vendégeket. A Kvassay-sétány végén elhelyezkedő Nyugati szabadstrand nagy részén hatalmas fák árnyékában pihenhetünk.
A bejárat közelében több büfé várja az éhes szájakat, egy külön épületben ingyenes mosdókat találunk. A gyerkőcöket játszótér, a felnőtteket napozóterasz várja. A parton vízibiciklik kölcsönzésére is van lehetőségünk.

- Ha vonattal érkezünk, a Balatonföldvár állomáson szálljunk le.

- Az állomáson átmegyünk a síneken, és a Rákóczi úton balra fordulunk (Szárszó felé). Kb. 1 km múlva érjük el a strand bejáratát.
Parking
- Parkolni a strand előtt lehet. A parkolás díja (9:00 - 21:00):
- 200 FT/óra;
- napijegy: 1000 Ft/nap
