Balatonföldváron a kikötő mellett található az ingyenesen használható strand. A hosszan elnyúló partszakasz mellett gyönyörű platánfasor húzódik, a vízbe lépcsők vezetnek le. Arra számítsunk, hogy a strandnál a part melletti 10-15 méteres sávban erősen hínáros a víz.
Balatonföldvár központi részén, a személyhajó- és vitorláskikötő mellett terül el a szabadstrand. A strand a part menti promenáddal, a Kvassay sétánnyal párhuzamosan fut. A parton találunk büféket, éttermeket és üzletek is működnek. A strand egy nagy, füves, ligetes területen terül el, ahol napozhatunk, pihenhetünk, de akár egy focimeccset is játszhatunk a kispályás kapuknak köszönhetően.
A több száz méter hosszan elnyúló partszakasz mellett gyönyörű platánfasor húzódik, a vízbe több helyen lépcsők vezetnek le. Arra számítsunk, hogy az ingyenesen használható strandnál a part melletti 10-15 méteres sávban erősen hínáros a víz. A mosdókat csak díj ellenében használhatjuk, ahogy a vízibicikliket is, amiket helyben kölcsönözhetünk.
