A Cserhát lábánál fekvő Kétbodonyt elhagyva, az erdő szélén megbújó, frissen felújított porta kiváló kiindulópont a túrázás szerelmeseinek. A 15 férőhelyes, patakparti vendégház közelében számos vár, tó és túraútvonal található.
A Palócliget Vendégház ablakai a patakra, a patak túloldalán a hatalmas ligetre néznek. A ligetben egy kis tó is megbújik. Az aktív pihenés kedvelői túrázhatnak, horgászhatnak és a háznál 5 db kerékpár is várja a vendégeket, amivel bejárhatják a környéket. Nyáron hűsölhetünk a medencében, a túra fáradalmait pedig a jacuzziban pihenhetjük ki. Esténként a tűzrakóhely mellett lazíthatunk, ami mellett egy cigány karaván áll, vagy a fedett kerti kiülő alatt beszélgethetünk.
A szálláshelyen a négylábú vendégeket is szívesen fogadják, legyen az cica, kutya, vagy akár ló.
