Itinerary
- We start from the parking lot along the forest path marked K+/S+.
- From Szilfa clearing, we continue running on the path marked P+.
- After reaching the game fence and climbing over the fence ladder, we continue on the S↺ mark to the next junction, then switch to the K+ sign towards the next fence.
- After the next fence ladder, we stay on the K+ mark all the way to the turning point of the run. From there, we run on the path marked Z+, but after the military graves, we turn onto an unmarked, straight forest path that closes the upper loop number 8, returning to the previous fence ladder.
- On the other side of the fence, we descend right on the S↺ mark, then continue for a long distance until we reach the S+ mark, where we continue.
- After the next fence ladder, we soon arrive at Szilfa clearing and then return to the parking lot on the asphalt road.
Detailed description of the run
From the parking lot, we start along the forest path marked K+/S+ at the information boards, and soon arrive at the upper northern tip of Szilfa clearing, where the new modern rain tree stands. Here, turning right, we continue running on the gently ascending forest path marked P+, heading towards the game fence, and climb over the ladder.
Fifty meters after the fence, we reach the S↺ mark. Turning left here, we run to the next junction, where we switch to the K+ mark. When we reach the wide clearing and cross it, not opposite but slightly to the right and higher up, we find the continuation of the K+ mark. It's a forest path that first ascends gently, then levels out — we continue this way to the next fence.
After the next fence ladder, we stay on the K+ mark, which soon starts to descend to the valley floor, then continues left. We run along this until the peak number 8, which is the turning point of the run. Here we turn sharply left and continue on the Z+ path, soon arriving at three Hungarian WWII soldiers' graves, with nice views of Telki and Páty between the trees.
After the graves, the Z+ descends right, but we continue straight on the unmarked, straight forest path that closes the upper loop number 8, returning to the previous fence ladder. At the end of this straight section, a 300-meter single-track, rocky section awaits, then we return to the K+ mark and head back to the earlier fence ladder.
On the other side of the fence, we turn right and start descending on the clearing along the S↺ mark. This soon becomes a single-track path and, lower down near the fence, becomes very rocky.
After leaving the fence below, we continue again on the forest path and run on the S↺ mark, then when we reach the S+ mark, we continue on it. Soon another fence ladder follows, then we quickly arrive at the lower end of Szilfa clearing, where we turn right and return to the parking lot on the asphalt road.
