Slovenia and Southern Carinthia

Heading south via Fürnitz, you go to the Wurzen Pass (1073 m), where original installations of the national fortification from the Cold War can be viewed in the "Bunker Museum".
Just 2.5 kilometers further and you are already in Slovenia. Through Kranjska Gora to Jesenice and then Lipce. From the biathlon world championship venue Pokljuka, a gravel road leads left to Bohinjska Bistrica and from there towards Skofja Loka to Železniki. Now motorcyclists can look forward to a very beautiful route via Kropa to Kranj. With the Seeberg Saddle (1218 m) in the Karawanks, the border to Carinthia is reached. The pass road itself is excellently developed and well asphalted. Pure asphalt riders will definitely enjoy the Seeberg Saddle. Make a stop in Ebriach, west of Bad Eisenkappel, at the inn Zum Florian and visit the motorcycle museum of Bedi Böhm-Besim there. Admission is free. Two dozen exhibits from the first half of the last century, nicely arranged and in well-maintained condition, can be admired here. Afterwards, continue westwards and before the ascent to Schaidasattel, a detour to the Trögern Gorge is worthwhile. The drive through the wild romantic gorge is an experience; the stop at the inn Pristounik at the very top is unforgettable. Return from the gorge via Zell-Pfarre and Ferlach to Feistritz/Rosental, where you cross the Drava reservoir and reach the starting point via Ludmannsdorf and St. Egyden, possibly with another detour to Velden.
