Unique in its appearance and stories from the past, this former iron forging centre is tucked away in the lush Lipnica valley. Some of Kropa's houses date back over 500 years. For over 4 centuries nails were the main product. There were 120 different kids of nails. They were being forged in 19 forges in Kropa and transported to mediteranean area.
The rich legacy of the manual forging of nails and artistic iron forging is attested to in the Iron Forging Museum and one forge, the Vigenjc Vice, still keeps it's 19th Century look.
