Embark on a fascinating journey back in time to the Obir Caves. 200 million years back into the past, modern technology, and unique nature. More than 1 million visitors from all over the world have already been convinced by the beauty of the Obir Caves. This unique cave world with 200 million years of earth history features an 800 m long underground adventure park, with living stalactites that are a rarity in Europe. During the tour, you will pass several stations where multimedia light, sound, and video installations highlight the spectacle of nature.
The temperature in the Obir Caves is a constant +8°C, the air is dust and germ-free, the humidity is 80 - 90%, and there is natural ventilation. These are ideal conditions for maturing our Obir specialties in our caves. Duration of the tour: approx. 90 min. (Total time including bus ride to and from about 3 hours).
TIP: Hike to the cave entrance via a beautiful hiking trail at 1,078 m (route description available at www.hoehlen.at).
