In Gorjuše, the making of smoking pipes (the local name for them is čedra), which developed several centuries ago, is still preserved. Čedra was sold throughout Central Europe and Dalmatia. Gorjuška pipes, made of pear, maple and pine wood, were of various shapes, decorated with silver sheet and mother-of-pearl inlays. Today, only two inhabitants still make those smoking pipes.

The easiest way to visit Gorjuše is by public transport in summer, when the Hop On - Hop Off bus goes to Pokljuka.Directions
Gorjuše can be reached by car from Bohinjska Bistrica or Bled.Parking
