The panoramic point offers a beautiful view of the mountains above Podkoren and Kranjska Gora.
The viewpoint in Podkoren is an attractive point for visitors who want to enjoy spectacular views of the surrounding nature.
The “Karenška rida” viewpoint is situated on an elevated position near the village of Podkoren, which provides extensive views of the surrounding landscape. The viewing platform offers a wonderful panoramic view of the Julian Alps, including the ski slope where the Men's Alpine Skiing World Cup - the Vitranc Cup - takes place. The view also extends to the surrounding valleys, forests and pastures, offering a picturesque and peaceful setting for visitors.
The platform is equipped with information boards to inform visitors about the history, geography and natural attractions of the area. Benches are placed on the platform where visitors can relax and enjoy the view.
The Podkoren viewpoint is therefore an excellent starting point for exploring the natural beauty of the area and enjoying the peace and tranquility of the Alpine landscape.

From Slovenia, you can reach Kranjska Gora via the Ljubljana-Kranj-Jesenice-Kranjska Gora road.
Shuttle
By train
The nearest train station is in Jesenice, from where buses take you to Kranjska Gora, 20 km away, in half an hour. There are also train stations in Tarvisio, Italy, and Villach, Austria. From there, you can continue your journey by taxi, as none of the stops is more than 20 km away.

From Slovenia, Kranjska Gora can be reached via the Ljubljana-Kranj-Jesenice-Kranjska Gora road, from Austria via the Korensko sedlo border crossing in Villach or the Karavanke tunnel, and from Italy via the Rateče border crossing.
