Roadbook
Step 1 - Direction Rosenwiller
From the Tourist Office, take Braun street opposite to the Lion Gate. Pass the roundabout, then take Molsheim street, then follow the direction to Rosenwiller (D435) to the village entrance.
Step 2 - The Jewish Cemetery of Rosenwiller
At the village exit take the roundabout to the left, then follow the Grendelbruch road to the Jewish Cemetery. Dating from before 1366, it is one of the largest Jewish necropolises in Alsace, and probably also the oldest. It covers 4 hectares and holds more than 6,000 graves. It is still active today.
Step 3 - Direction la Fischhutte
Pass the site, leave the village and continue through the forest for 1.5 km. At the give way sign, go straight on the road (D604) for 2.5 km to a large Eichwald crossroads. At the junction, turn right towards Grendelbruch (D204) to la Fischhutte.
Step 4 - Passing through Grendelbruch
Arrived at the Hotel Restaurant La Fischhutte, stay left on the D204. After passing a red building, at the crossroads continue right towards Grendelbruch, steep climb at 8% to the village entrance. Continue to the fountain next to the church.
Step 5 - From Grendelbruch to La Rothlach
In the village center, near the fountain, turn left to join the Magel valley. At the crossroads, turn right onto the D66 towards La Rothlach. In a picturesque forest along the Magel, follow the road for 9 km to the forest house of the same name. Then continue on 3 km steeper to La Rothlach (940 m altitude).
Step 6 - From La Rothlach to Mont Sainte-Odile
At the La Rothlach crossroads, turn left onto the D130 towards Mont Sainte-Odile. Descend to the Welschbruch roundabout to turn left onto the D426. Continue on the D426 to the Sanctuary (764 m altitude).
Step 7 - From Mont Sainte-Odile to Saint Nabor
From the Sanctuary, turn right towards the spring and the village of Saint-Nabor via the D33. Pass the Sainte-Odile spring, then the Saint-Jacques holiday center. Continue the descent (D109) to Saint-Nabor. In the village, follow the Ottrott road (D103), then Carrières street to the start of the Greenway.
Step 8 - Return to Rosheim via the Greenway "Portes Bonheur, the quarry path"
At the Greenway departure from Saint-Nabor, take the direction of Rosheim for 11 km staying on this safe cycling route. At the stop of the intersection with Avenue Clémenceau, take the roundabout to the right and pass under the Lion Gate then take Braun street to the Tourist Office.
