In the heart of the village, the church dedicated to the Assumption of the Virgin Mary is the only one in the Mont Sainte-Odile region to have important elements of Gothic architecture. Originally a simple wooden chapel, it was replaced in the 11th century by a stone building. A century later it was transformed into a small church in Romanesque style.
In the 14th century, a restoration was undertaken and a gothic choir with 7 openings was added. Two of them still house remarkable stained glass windows dating from 1340. Each of the stained glass windows is composed of 5 medallions relating scenes from the life of Christ. The bell tower and the gothic choir are classified as Historic MonumentsDon't miss the stained glass windows from the 14th century, the mural paintings characteristic of medieval religious art, the high altar which is composed of 4 elements from different periods: the altar tomb (1220), the tabernacle and the Virgin and Child (15th century), and the altarpiece (17th century), the wooden furniture
