The church of St. Stephen was built at the end of the 18th century. The plans, inspired by ancient Rome, aim at an effect of grandeur. In addition to four Doric columns, the monumental façade houses the statues of Sainte-Odile and Saint-Arbogast. The preserved bell tower of the previous church dates from the 13th century.
A jewel of neoclassical architecture in Alsace, the Catholic church of Saint-Étienne was built at the end of the 18th century. The plans, inspired by ancient Rome, aim for grandeur. In addition to 4 Doric columns, the monumental façade features statues of Sainte-Odile and Saint-Arbogast. The bell tower, preserved from the previous church, dates from the 13th century.
The church was designed by the architect Salins de Monfort, who also built the Château des Rohans in Saverne.
