DAV Sektion Allgäu-Immenstadt Verified partner
The Allgäu-Immenstadt section of the German Alpine Club (Deutscher Alpenverein e.V.) is now one of the largest sections in Germany with over 20,000 members, and one of the largest clubs in the Allgäu region. The section maintains four huts in the Allgäu Alps: Edmund-Probst-Haus, Prinz-Luitpold-Haus, Waltenberger Haus, and Kaufbeurer Haus. Additionally, the Sonthofen climbing center belongs to the section.
The training and tour program includes over 270 different courses and tours of varying difficulty levels. The numerous children, youth, and family groups also offer an extensive program in climbing and mountaineering. Two handicap groups and several open groups complete the range of offerings.
