A Nagybörzsöny feletti Magyar-hegy meredek oldalán felkapaszkodva több helyen is pompás kilátás tárul a szemünk elé a Börzsöny nyugati részére és az Ipoly síksága irányába.
A felfelé és lefelé is nehezen járható, keskeny ösvény a déli lejtők molyhos tölgyes sziklagyepeinek szegélyén halad, így a ritkásan álló fás szárú növényzet felett több helyen is gyönyörködhetünk a panorámában. Kelet felé a Börzsöny központi területét, a Csóványos–Nagy-Hideg-hegy–Nagy-Inóc vonulatot pásztázhatjuk végig tekintetünkkel, jól kivehető a Börzsöny „tetején” álló geodéziai torony.
Közvetlenül szemben, a völgy túloldalán a Pogány-rét zöldellő pázsitja ível egy nyeregben. Délkelet felé a Nagy-Sas-hegy, a Sós-hegy és a Kopasz-hegy sorát figyelhetjük meg: az egykori lávadómok alakjukkal még erodált formájukban is vulkánra emlékeztetnek. Mögöttük már a Visegrádi-hegység emelkedik, egészen távol kivehető a Pilis-tető platója is.
Dél felé a Börzsöny nyugati peremének erdős hátai hullámoznak, a távolban felismerhető a Nagy-Koppány jellegzetes csúcsa, mögötte a Galla kettős kúpja, egészen távol pedig az Esztergom feletti Vaskapu tömbje is felbukkan a látóhatáron. Ahogy átérünk a Magyar-hegy nyugati oldalára, újra más irányban szemlélhetjük a panorámát: a hegylábhoz simuló Nagybörzsöny mögött a Kisalföld húzódik, míg a szem ellát. Ennek egyhangúságát csak az Ipolyt szegélyező dombhátak törik meg.
