At 58 metres, the south face is one of the highest rock faces in the Palatinate. It can be reached by following the blue cross or local marker no. 16. The ‘Luger Fritz’ can also be reached via the premium hiking trail Spirkelbacher Höllenberg-Tour.

One of the most important peaks in the Lug area is the Friedrichsfels (also known as Luger Fritz) with a striking abseiling point in the form of a protruding rocky outcrop (total height 59 metres). The ‘Luger Fritz’ is one of the most popular climbing crags.
The Friedrichsfelsen lies to the north-west above Lug.
