Roadbook
The route starts at the train station in Hauenstein and leads via Hinterweidenthal, Dahn, Bundenthal to Niederschlettenbach on the asphalted German-French PAMINA cycle path Lautertal.
From Niederschlettenbach it continues to Erlenbach, where the Berwartstein Castle, the only inhabited castle complex in the Palatinate, is worth seeing. Past the bathing pond Seehof, the route leads on a paved forest path to Lauterschwan. Here, the B 427 is crossed and it continues in the direction of Vorderweidenthal.
From the sports field in Vorderweidenthal, the route leads us left uphill on a forest path or partly gravelled path to the Cramerhaus, which lies at the foot of the Lindelbrunn castle ruins. Via a forest path it goes to the small village of Darstein. In Darstein, turn right in the village center uphill towards the cemetery and then continue on the cycle path to Schwanheim and Lug. At the church in Lug, turn left, ride about 20 meters, and then turn right onto Saarstraße until the cycle path towards Hauenstein. Follow the cycle path until the entrance to Hauenstein. From there, go straight through the center of Hauenstein. After about 2.5 km, you reach the starting point of the route, the train station Hauenstein.
