A forrás Cák hegyek felőli szélén fakad, a 19. század eleji pincesor felett. Itt, a Kőszegi-hegység déli lábánál a táj adottságai ideálisak voltak a szőlőtermesztéshez, és az 1890-es években az ezen a területen is végigsöprő filoxéra-vészig virágkorát élte a szőlő- és borkultúra. A szőlőhegyeken a hegybirtokosok közösen gondoskodtak a források karbantartásáról. A kádárok helyben készítették a bor tárolásához szükséges hordókat is. A forrást – nevének megfelelően – valóban hordók mosására, tisztítására használták, és használják ma is, könnyen hozzáférhető két kifolyója erre alkalmassá is teszi. Vize a falun átfolyó Cáki-patakot táplálja.
A forrás vize tiszta, iható, a fölé épített faház pedig kellemes pihenőt biztosít a turistáknak. A forrásházban is találunk padokat, de a felette lévő kis dombon a további padok, asztalok mellett tűzrakó helyet is kialakítottak. A hely a Velem és Cák környékén vezető Források útja tanösvény egyik állomása is.

- A buszmegállóból induljunk el a Petőfi utcán, az elágazásban tartsunk jobbra a pincesor felé, a S↺ jelzést követve. A házak között, jobbra lesz a forrás (350 m).

- Cákon a buszmegállóval szemben parkolhatunk.
