Velem főutcája mellett a környezetüktől elütő, érdekes kis épületekre lehetünk figyelmesek: egy bronz- és egy vaskori ház áll itt. A bronzkori építmény eredetije a Szent Vid-kápolna körül végzett ásatáskor került elő. A másik, alacsonyan található, lapos tetejű házikó Sárvár szomszédságában állt egy kelta kézműves telepen - ez egy földbe mélyített műhely volt. A két kis rönkházat a patakon átívelő híd köti össze. Körülöttük rendezett park található - sajnos tájékoztató táblák nélkül.
A szomszédos hegyen európai hírnevet szerzett régészeti leleteket találtak: a bronz- és vaskorban nagy méretű város állt a mai Velem fölötti magaslaton. A parkból indul a Szent Vid-kápolnához a Kultúrák hegye tanösvény.

Parking
- Egészen a parkig juthatunk autóval. Kicsit továbbajtva, az üresen kongó hotel előtt kiszélesedik az út; itt parkolhatunk.
