Pilis-nyereg

Emlékmű a nyeregben

A Pilis-nyereg táborhelye mellett egy szürke obeliszk emlékeztet a hely háborús múltjára: 1944-45 telén itt súlyos harcok dúltak. A jelenlegi emlékmű a II. világháború áldozatainak állít emléket, a korábbi szobor csupán az itt elesett 16 szovjet katonának. A szovjet emlékművet feltehetőleg a háború alatt a sokat szenvedett környékbeliek döntötték le nem sokkal 1954-es állítást követően. Az összetört domborműre ma Dobogókőn, a múzeumnak helyet adó Báró Eötvös Loránd Menedékház mögött a földön heverve lelünk rá.

Pecsét és pálos kő

A turista utak csomópontjában fekvő táborhely túramozgalmak igazolópontja. A Piliscsabai Természetjáró Egyesület túrapecsétjét az esőházra rögzítve találjuk. A Pilis-nyereg a pilisi pálos utak egyikének – Remeték útjának – az állomása is egyben, amit a pihenő mellett felállított, üzenetet hirdető kőoszlop jelöl. Ez a tematikus túraút a pálos rend kolostorait, történelmi és kulturális emlékeit, máig élő hagyományvilágát mutatja be.
