Gyöngyössolymos megállóhely a település északi részén található, a Szalajkaház felé vezető erdészeti út mellett. Korábbi neve (Gyöngyössolymos-Fűtőház) elárulja, hogy valaha itt volt a solymosi kisvasút központja, a vontatási telep, és a közelben ágazott ki a fővonalból a Monostor-völgybe vezető szárnyvonal is. Ma már erről csak néhány ház, illetve a sínek mentén egy nagyobb placc (az egykori állomás területe) árulkodik.

- Gyöngyössolymos megállóhely megközelítéséhez Gyöngyössolymos, autóbusz-váróterem megállóhelyen kell leszállni a helyközi autóbuszjáratokról.

- Gyöngyössolymos, autóbusz-váróteremtől a S jelzést kell követni a település külterületén található megállóhelyig (kb. 1,5 kilométer kell sétálni).
- A S jelzés Szalajkaházig a vasúttal többé-kevésbé párhuzamosan vezet, onnan Galyatető irányába halad tovább.
Parking
- Autóval a Lajosházára vezető út mellett lehet megállni.
