A megálló neve beszélő név, mely a múltat idézi. Közel kétszáz éve Baja környékén 70-80 hajómalom őrölte a gabonát, melyeket télen, a jégzajlás elől védett helyre kellett vontatni. Akkoriban a folyó főmedre a mostani Rezéti-Duna volt, amelynek mély, öbölszerű lefűződésében teleltek át ezek a szerkezetek.
A megállóhelytől Lassiba induló Molnárka interaktív tanösvényen végigsétálva ismerhető meg a Gemenci erdő állat- és növényvilága, a Duna mederváltozásai. A megállótól 200 méterre lévő megfigyelőtoronyból a fokozottan védett, időszakos vízjárású tavon élő vízimadarakat vagy a mocsárréten tartózkodó vadat lehet megfigyelni.
A vasúti infrastruktúrát (egy vágány és egy peron) egy esőbeálló és egy WC egészíti ki.
