The bee educational trail in Freckenfeld runs along the idyllic village creek. On nine information boards, interesting facts about the honeybee can be learned, and along the bee-friendly planted flower beds, the busy activities of various insects can be observed.
The easily accessible path starts at the playground on Wattstraße and leads along the village stream to the sports field path. Nine information boards, positioned at a height of 160 cm so that they can be easily read by students, provide information about the life and benefits of bees.
The path is lined with flower beds planted with over 600 bee-friendly perennials, including Yellow Scabiosa, Spider Flower, Frikart's Aster, Blood Crane's Bill, Brand Herb, Soapwort, Yarrow, Dyer's Chamomile, Grapey Catmint.
The perennial sponsors care for the beds, and the information boards were donated by the Beekeeping Association Kandel e.V.
Along the village stream, there are some seating areas inviting for a leisurely rest.
