The museum documents the approximately 100-year history of the production of bricks and other clay products of the former Carl Ludowici brick factory, once the market leader in Europe. It addresses an important aspect of modern history, namely the industrialization since the end of the 19th century. A highlight of the museum is the partially preserved ring kiln, which was originally 90 meters long. The museum is located in a noteworthy restored factory building of the former brickworks. In the outdoor area, a chimney, a roller press, and a pigment mill can be seen. The museum also includes the restored Ludowici Ball House, which caused a stir worldwide in the 1950s.
