A Gorba-tetőn elsősorban laza szerkezetű gyertyános-tölgyes található, amiben a fák szabálytalan formája és szétterülő koronája legelőerdő vagy fás legelő eredetre utalnak. Rálátni a falura, sőt a túloldalán fekvő Bánya-hegy is jól kivehető, számos más magaslattal együtt. A hegy platóján ösvények kuszasága jelzi, hogy barlangászok, régészek és túrázók egyaránt gyakori vendégek a víznyelőbarlang környékén, amelyben jelentős denevér-kolónia él.

A Tardos, Dózsa György utca nevű buszmegállónál kell leszállni. Ide Tatáról, valamint Süttő és Tarján felől érkeznek közvetlen járatok.

- A Tardos, Dózsa György utca buszmegállótól a pár lépésre található kereszteződés felé tartsunk, itt csatlakozunk rá bal kéz felé a P+ jelzésre, ami az öreg erdőbe vezet (3 km, 172 m szintemelkedés).
- A Gorbatető parkolótól a P+ jelzés vezet a Szentélyerdőbe (1,1 km, 81 m szintemelkedés).
