Itt rendezik meg minden év júliusában az Anna-napi búcsút, amikor Őrtilos és a határ túloldalán, Horvátországban fekvő Légrád lakói közösen ünnepelnek. Ilyenkor egy kis komp hozza-viszi az embereket a határ egyik és másik oldala között, az ünnepség fő helyszíne pedig a Szentmihály-hegy.
A két település lakói között szép számmal vannak rokoni kapcsolatok is, és a horvát településen élnek olyanok családok is, akiknek korábban szőlője volt a hegyen. 1949-ig a magaslat jelentős része a Légrádban élők birtoka volt, akkoriban Légrádi-hegynek is nevezték.
Az 1740-ben felépített barokk stílusú, ma már műemlékvédelem alatt álló Szent Mihály-templom helyén a középkorban pálos kolostor állt, ennek felhasználásával építették később a templomot, amely mai formáját 1823-ban nyerte el.
Látogathatóság
A templom általában zárva van, ezért belülről ritkán lehet megnézni. Júliusban az Anna-napi, illetve szeptemberben a Mihály-napi búcsú idején kinyitják, így akkor jó eséllyel megnézhető.

- Őrtilos vasútállomásról érdemes felkeresni a templomot.

- A parkolótól, illetve a közúttól pár perc sétával lehet elérni a kápolnát.
- Az őrtilosi vasútállomástól 25 perc gyaloglással juthatunk fel a Z jelzést követve. A hegy aljában kerékpártárolók is vannak (1 km, 77 m szintemelkedés).
