A Sénye feletti Szilvás-hegyen áll az Isten kemencéje kápolna, amelyet különleges formája és remek panorámája miatt is érdemes meglátogatni.
A sényei Szilvás-hegy tetején különleges, képzelőerőnktől függően kemencére, kucsmára vagy épp kasra emlékeztető ökumenikus kápolna áll. Az Isten kemencéje névre keresztelt kápolna mellől a Zalai-dombságra és a Keszthelyi-hegységre is remek a rálátás. A kápolna, bár magánterületen található, mindenki előtt nyitva áll.
Különleges formájú kápolna a hegytetőn
A Sénye felett magasodó Szilvás-hegy gerincén Szilágyi István és felesége, Szilágyiné Galácz Zsuzsanna építtették 2002-ben a kápolnát Vadász György tervei alapján. A tervezőnek az ötletet egy bácskai, kas alakú, fehérre meszelt, kétszintes tyúkól adta. Az ajtón belépve a keleti tájolású kápolna keleti oldalán egy hatalmas, színes üvegekből összeálló keresztet láthatunk, amely napfelkelte idején különleges fényviszonyokat teremt. A kereszten kívül az üvegkupolán keresztül jut be fény a kápolnabelsőbe. A kápolna falait Vadász György feleségének, Vészabó Noéminek a festményei díszítik.
Kilátás a Szilvás-hegyről
A kápolna mellől keleti irányban csodálhatjuk meg a környéket, a Keszthelyi-hegység északi részére nyílik kilátás. Legkönnyebben a zalaszántói sztúpa fehér csúcsát és a Meleg-hegy peremén álló Rezi várát szúrhatjuk ki. A Szilvás-hegy gerincén sétálva nyugat felé is megcsodálhatjuk a tájat: alattunk a Zala völgye húzódik, a folyón túl pedig a Zalaapáti-hát dombjai magasodnak. A kápolna mellett található hazánk egyik legnagyobb országzászlója.
A szilvás-hegyi szőlőbirtokok
A Szilvás-hegy a Balatonmelléki borvidékhez tartozik, az agyagos, barna erdőtalajon leginkább fehérszőlő-fajtákat (olaszrizling, rizlingszilváni, zöld veltelini, chardonnay) termelnek. A hegyet bebarangolva nemcsak modern pincékkel, hanem néhány régi időket idéző boronapincével is találkozhatunk.

- Ha Sényéről indulunk a kápolnához, a Sénye, harangláb buszmegállóban kell leszállni a buszról.
- A Zalaszentlászló, faluvég buszmegállóból is lehet indulni.

Directions
- Sényéről a S jelzésű turistúton indulunk el, majd a temető utáni éles balkanyart elérve balra fordulunk, innen a S+ turistaút vezet fel a kápolnához (1 km, 85 m szintemelkedés).
- Zalaszentlászlóról a S jelzésű turistaúton indulunk el, sokáig aszfaltúton haladunk, majd a Szilvás-hegy oldalában földútra térünk le. Amikor a földutat aszfaltos út váltja fel, mi jobbra fordulunk a S+ turistaútra, mely felvezet a kápolnához (3,6 km, 125 m szintemelkedés).
Parking
- Ha nem szeretnénk túrázni, közvetlenül a kápolna mellett is tudunk parkolni.
- Ha rövidebb túrára vágyunk, Sényén a harangláb környékén az út szélén hagyhatjuk az autót.
- Ha hosszabb túrára vágyunk, Zalaszentlászlón a Kossuth vagy a Hajnal utca szélén érdemes hagyni az autót.
