Long-distance hikes in Ledro

7 challenging stages from one mountain hut to the next, from the shores of the lake to 2000 m and above, touching on all of the peaks surrounding the northern shores of Lake Garda.

Lonely & wild The path from the Stilfser Joch National Park leads challenging and partly high alpine across the wild Adamello to Lake Garda.

This stage counts nearly 1600 metres of elevation gain, from the mediterranean shores of Lake Garda to the alpine peaks between Garda Trentino and Valle di Ledro. 

Alpine crossing in 11 stages. The Alps Traverse Gemellato (ATG) is a shorter variant of the long-distance trail Rosenheim – Lazise. It is a good alternative to the often crowded E5 if you want to do an alpine crossing once. Alpine crossings have existed in several variants for many years. Here are the currently best-known routes: “E5” (Oberstdorf/ Meran) “Traumpfad” (Munich/ Venice) “L” (Garmisch/ Brescia) “L1S” (Walchensee/ Iseo Lake) L1 variant "L1S" “GTA” (Grießpass/ Ventimiglia) “Munich-Garda Lake” (Munich/ Garda Lake) “Via Alpina: Yellow Route” (Oberstdorf/ Trieste) “Via Alpina: Red Route” (Oberstdorf/ Trieste) “Alpe Adria Trail” (Großglockner/ Muggia) New: “Alps Traverse Gemellato" ATG (Rosenheim/ Lazise). The multi-day route "ATG" is a variant (shorter distances, more days) of the “long-distance trail Rosenheim – Lazise“.

The Ponale trail is one of the best-known and most frequented routes in Trentino, ideal for walks in spring or autumn.

The Peace Trail (Sentiro della Pace) was established in the mid-20th century on the paths of the Alpine War. The Alpine War between the Kingdom of Italy and the original allies Austria and Germany from 1915 to 1917 is one of Europe's dark chapters. Along the trail, many old fortifications are traversed, showing the futility of war and the immense suffering that the war brought to the people of South Tyrol and Trento.
