The route is quite challenging because it climbs very quickly on steep paths. However, it offers a beautiful view of both Lake Ledro and Lake Garda, and finally also of the Arco Plain. By walking the Austro-Hungarian Path 1915-1918 section, you relive the epic of the First World War: military walkways, trenches, and tunnels. The best point is not the Oro summit but the iron cross at the Monte Oro Observatory.
Author’s recommendation
It is recommended to do the loop counterclockwise.

Roadbook
Take the dirt road following the Ledro Trek - Medium trail marker (860 m). After a while, take the path that considerably shortens the dirt road to reach a beautiful panoramic point (1390 m) on Lake Ledro. Now follow the Cima Oro/Austro-Hungarian Path 1915-1918 trail marker which will quickly bring you to the Monte Oro Observatory (1690 m) and to the Oro summit (1802 m). This section is full of military walkways, trenches, and tunnels. Continue on the path to altitude 1672 m where you take path no. 413 that quickly leads to Bocca Dromaè (1680 m). From here, descend via path 453 passing Malga Dromaè (1518 m) returning to the starting point.
