Selected alternatives for you

Alpine crossing in 11 stages. The Alps Traverse Gemellato (ATG) is a shorter variant of the long-distance trail Rosenheim – Lazise. It is a good alternative to the often crowded E5 if you want to do an alpine crossing once.

    Alpine crossings

have existed in several variants for many years. Here are the currently best-known routes:

    “E5” (Oberstdorf/ Meran)

    “Traumpfad” (Munich/ Venice)

    “L” (Garmisch/ Brescia)

    “L1S” (Walchensee/ Iseo Lake) L1 variant "L1S"

    “GTA” (Grießpass/ Ventimiglia)

    “Munich-Garda Lake” (Munich/ Garda Lake)

“Via Alpina: Yellow Route” (Oberstdorf/ Trieste)

“Via Alpina: Red Route” (Oberstdorf/ Trieste)

    “Alpe Adria Trail” (Großglockner/ Muggia)

    New:

“Alps Traverse Gemellato" ATG (Rosenheim/ Lazise). The multi-day route "ATG" is a variant (shorter distances, more days) of the “long-distance trail Rosenheim – Lazise“.

The usual safety instructions should be observed. Requests about the quality of the trails can also be omitted if the trail maintenance person in the section is not present, see stage ATG4-35.
