Topographic maps
Topographic maps are provided by the official surveying authorities. Due to how precise the mapping of landforms is (e.g. by contour lines, shading, and specific symbols), topographic maps provide a particularly realistic picture of the terrain.

Global topo map coverage
We combine topographic maps from official authorities in our topo layer and make them collectively available. In locations without topo map coverage, the OpenStreetMap is displayed with a specialized topographic style. Below, we list—by country—which government agencies provide us with data for our topographic map.
