Land Information New Zealand
Since 1996, Land Information New Zealand (LINZ ©) has been processing geographical information from New Zealand. The aim is to make this information accessible and usable, to protect land rights of New Zealand citizens and to make location-based decisions in the interest of the country's economic, social, ecological and cultural prosperity.
The Institution
The three core areas of LINZ include the Cadastral Surveying System, which organizes land rights and their transfer (transaction management), the procurement, compilation and provision of geographical information, including land ownership rights (information management) and the management of crown property (land management).
