The National Geographic Institute (NGI) is the reference authority when it comes to the topography and geography of Belgium. The work of NGI provides the basis for the topographical inventory and its data processing, for example in environmental analysis, design of public infrastructure or for thematic mapping such as tourism, outdoor sports, and much more.
The Institution
The National Geographic Institute (NGI) collects, manages and disseminates geographic information about Belgium in the form of maps, aerial photos and digital geodata. NGI manages topographic databases and provides geographic information and services to governments, professionals and individuals.
