The hut is located at the head of the valley at 2,165 m, south of Galtür. Countless peaks await hikers and climbers in both summer and winter. The hut is well-equipped and known for its particularly delicious regional cuisine.
The “Jam” is part of the “Mit Kindern auf Hütten”(With Kids at Huts) campaign, an initiative by the Alpine Clubs of Germany, Austria, and South Tyrol promoting family-friendly huts. It is suitable for children ages 7–8 and up. Places to explore: moraines, streams, glacier tongues, and glacial lakes; a climbing garden near the hut (Grade IV to VII; topos available under “Kletterarena Jamtal”); a via ferrata on the Pfannknecht; an indoor climbing facility; a geological trail; a slackline; and playground equipment. In winter: ski mountaineering, snowshoeing.
The hut team looks forward to your visit!
