From the parking lot at Mentenalpe, we follow the forest road to a bridge over the Jambach. Straight ahead we reach Schnapfen Alm 1,735 m. We stay on the main path and then reach Scheiben Alm 1,833 m. From Scheiben Alm, heading into the valley to the next bridge over the Jambach at 2,005 m. Now cross the bridge and ascend more steeply towards Jamtal Hut 2,165 m.
