Herzlich willkommen auf der Eifelhütte der DAV Sektion Düsseldorf!

Die Düsseldorfer Eifelhütte befindet sich oberhalb von Blens, im Rurtal und in Sichtweite zum Naturpark Eifel. Die Eifelhütte ist im Besitz des Deutschen Alpenvereins – Sektion Düsseldorf. Es handelt sich um eine Selbstversorgerhütte für 47 Personen plus zwei Notlager.

Im Untergeschoss befinden sich drei Zimmer mit je vier Stockbetten (je 8 Schlafplätze). Im Erdgeschoss befindet sich ein Zimmer, mit zwei Stockbetten (4 Schlafplätze). Das Dachgeschoss hat 5 Matratzenlager und vierzehn Betten, verteilt auf mehrere Räume. Auf allen Etagen ist jede Matratze und jedes Kopfkissen mit einem Schonbezug ausgestattet. Jede Schlafstätte verfügt über eine Wolldecke. Für Übernachtungen sind Schlafsack und/oder Bezüge für Kissen, Matratze mitbringen.

Zwei Aufenthaltsräume bieten reichlich Platz. Eine Lichtbildleinwand im großen Aufenthaltsraum ermöglicht Vorträge per Beamer. Der Raum kann tagsüber nicht abgedunkelt werden. Die Küche ist vollständig eingerichtet, mit zwei Kochfeldern und den dazugehörigen Backöfen, einer Mikrowelle, zwei Kaffeemaschinen und zwei Wasserkocher. Kochtöpfe, Kochgeschirr, Geschirr und Besteck sind vorhanden. 

Die Düsseldorfer Eifelhütte ist eine Selbstversorgerhütte nach den Richtlinien des DAV. Einkaufsmöglichkeiten gibt es in Nideggen und Heimbach, Brot und Brötchen auch in den näheren Orstteilen Abenden und Hausen. 

Die Eifelhütte hat direkt vor dem Haus Sitzbänke und einen dazugehörigen Außengrill mit einer kleinen Rasenfläche. Zusätzliche (Bier-) Tische und Bänke sind vorhanden. Auf dem Parkplatz vor der Eifelhütte können ca. sechs PKW parken. 

Unsere Eifelhütte wird mit Holz beheizt, der Ofen befindet sich im Untergeschoss. Das draußen gelagerte Holz ist nur für die Befeuerung des Ofens gedacht. 

Der Wald beginnt direkt hinter dem Haus. An den Außenwänden der Eifelhütte befinden sich Kletterrouten in den oberen Schwierigkeitsgraden.

Die Eifelhütte eignet sich als Ausgangspunkt für Wanderer, Kletterer und für Seminare. Familien mit Kinder haben hier eine ideale und preiswerte Unterkunft. Sie ist der ideale Ausgangspunkt für Wanderungen und Ausflüge zu den unterschiedlichsten Zielen im Naturpark Eifel. Kletterkarten für die Kletterfelsen bei Nideggen können in der ARAL – Tankstelle in Nideggen (Kreisverkehr) gekauft werden (der Zutritt ist limitiert und nur mit dieser Kletterkarte erlaubt).

Die Unterkunft in der Eifelhütte ist vorwiegend für Mitglieder des DAV gedacht.
