    Wahnsinnig schöne Route, aber für uns mit 14 SL plus Zu- und Abstieg nicht innerhalb der 8 Stunden Liftöffnung zu schaffen. Sind mit diesen Leih-Rollern ins Tal gefahren, war überraschend anstrengend und wahrscheinlich gefährlicher als das Klettern. 🤭

    Via Weissmies hütte zum Einstieg. Sehr gut angegeben mit 🇨🇭 Aussichtsreich und gut eingerichtet. Die Brücke ist sehr toll. Danach das steile Stück mit gute Handgriffen und treten.

    Weissmieshütte ist mMn der bessere Ausgangspunkt. Westgrat war 22. Juli 2026 absolut schneefrei (seit Wochen). keine Eisausrüstung nötig. Der Weg von Hohsaas ist lt Auskunft tlw mühsam (Toteis, Geröll, Steinschlag)

    Als Ausgangspunkt sind die Weißmieshütten günstiger. Die Querung des (ehemaligen) Gletschers ist - so die Tourenberichte von Kollegen im Juli 2026 - mühsam (Toteis und Geröll), der Zustieg von der Weißmieshütte über die Seitenmoräne halbwegs bequem.

    Zählt zu den großartigsten Klettersteigen in meinem Portfolio. Landschaftlich herausragend. Schwierigkeitsgrad: höchstens D (subjektiv eher C-D); aber wegen der Gesamtlänge und der Herausforderung der riesigen Seilbrücke, die sicher nicht jedermanns Sache ist, vertretbar. Als Ösi sind wir ja Klettersteige vornehmlich im Kalk gewohnt, deshalb habe ich es ganz besonders genossen. Was wirklich sehr schön ist: man kann (mehr oder weniger) den gesamten Klettersteig "kletternd" bewältigen; also schön mit Händen und Füßen im Fels. Das Seil nur zur Sicherung. Der Abstieg ist nicht lang, erfordert aber im oberen Teil Aufmerksamkeit bei der Wegfindung und bis unten Konzentration. Unschwierig, aber stolpern darf man nicht! Der Zustiegsweg ist sehr gut markiert und kann eigentlich nicht verfehlt werden.

    Zustieg und der Grat selbst ist eine schöne Tour, der Abstieg (Normalweg) ist nur Schutt... Fürs Abseilen vom letzten Turm ist ein 40m Seil Ideal, dann kann man direkt über die Scharte hinüber.

    Gute Tourenbeschreibung! Hohsaas ist für eine Nacht auch akzeptabel, Essen OK, aber nicht wirklich gemütlich. Verhältnisse aktuell tip-top, der Neuschnee vom letzten Wochenende stellt kein Problem dar. Ab 3.600 brauchts aktuell Steigeisen.
