Maps and trails
Geographically, Rodenbach lies between the Palatinate Forest and the foothills of the North Palatinate Mountains. The landscape is characterised by rolling hills, forests and fields - perfect for outdoor activities such as hiking or cycling. The hiking trails around the "Königsbruch" nature reserve are particularly beautiful, where you can discover rare animal and plant species.

But Rodenbach also has a lot to offer in terms of culture. A highlight is certainly the 17th century Marientraut Castle with its baroque garden, which is now used as the town hall. Also worth seeing are the two churches St. Andreas and St. Josef as well as the local history museum in the old schoolhouse.

For culinary delights you should definitely try the regional specialities: Saumagen (a kind of stuffed pig's stomach), liver dumplings or steamed noodles with vanilla sauce are just a few examples.

And what to do when the weather is bad? How about a visit to the indoor swimming pool or a round of bowling at the local bowling alley?

It is particularly beautiful in Rodenbach during the spring months of May to June, when the fruit trees blossom and the landscape is transformed into a veritable sea of flowers. But also in autumn, when the forests turn colourful and the climate is pleasantly mild, a visit is worthwhile.

Summarising: Rodenbach offers a perfect mix of nature experience, culture and culinary delights - a destination for every taste!
