Viehscheid Obermaiselstein - Traditional cattle drive in the fall
The highlight after the alpine summer in Obermaiselstein is the cattle drive in the fall. After three months, the herdsmen drive around 1,400 cattle from 11 alps back down to the valley. Afterwards, they celebrate at the Scheidball in the marquee with traditional Bavarian cuisine, fresh beer and brass band music. The cattle drive in the home village of Obermaiselstein is one of the largest and most famous in the Allgäu.
