Circular hiking route No. 2 around the Selberg near Rothselberg.
A detour to the Selberg tower is definitely worth it (it is signposted!).
At the "Leizenborn" car park, about 300m north of Rothselberg, the hike around the Selberg begins.
We walk back to the roundabout and keep right, uphill along the paved road towards the glider airfield. In the forest, at the large oak tree (towards "Auf der Au") we turn right to the junction and then continue right to the "hut of the Palatinate Forest Club Rutsweiler", which is open on Sundays.
To the left of the hut, the hike continues on a level forest path and back to the starting point, the "Leizenborn" hiking car park near Rothselberg.

We strive to announce all closures on our hiking trails in the region caused by forestry work, hunting societies or the like on this platform.
However, there are situations where hiking trails are closed and we have not been informed.
Any hiker who walks through closed areas (barrier tape, "Caution: Hunting" etc.), even on weekends, is acting with gross negligence and is responsible for their actions!
On natural paths, muddy and slippery sections may occur in adverse weather conditions.
Leaves, unevenness, roots, stones and holes in the path are thus part of a natural forest path.
